Winter!

Okay,
So we've been hit with the big freeze. It hasn't been as bad in the last couple of days, but my beard has been feeling a bit crispier than usual when I step outside.
Remedies that we have come up with to combat the dropping temperature.
1. Beer.
2. Hugs.
3. Beer.
4. More Beer.
5. New coat.
6. Using my all-inclusive utilities fee to good use (blasting the heat)
7. Running to the store to get beer. (Yunno, to get the heart rate up)

School's winding down, not that it was wound tight to begin with. Got my schedule for January...one word: painful.

Am applying to various programs for after school's. Wish me luck so that I don't have to move into my parents (uninsulated) basement!

OH yeah, and here are a few pictures...I'm beginning to realize that I really need to take more interesting photos...but for now, this is all that I got.

 The Metro...

 Bad Beer...

My Rue :)

I took this photo so I could constitute taking a break on the way up without looking lame...

Shmookah...

 Oh Hideout...

And Again...

Finally Warm...

And in other British news...

Happy Halloween!

Dear all of my loves in San Francisco,
I'm going to miss having a tranny-filled, candy-vomiting, mess of a Halloween...
I had to do a one minute (ish) film assignment, this is for you all...
We died for that magical night :)

Light

Okay, I'm getting slower and slower about updating this...but I will not give up!
I had my first orientation and met a bunch of cool cats.
This last weekend was full of fun antics, including La Nuit Blanche...
Basically this huge light sculpture festival where everyone gets trashed and stares inquisitively at the art.
So I forgot my camera and took some crappy photos on my iphone (which were even worse because I could barely use it...too much beer yes, but me being a new iphone user was the main problem). After messing with them, I finally made them viewable (and more hipster).
Last photo is a bit hard to see, but it's this huge light sculpture that was pulsating to the music set up on Pont Neuf.

Miss all you guys in America :)
xoxo

Finally...I have a chez moi.

Yay!
Alright,
so I've been a bit homeless for the past two weeks. Wandering from hostel to apartment in search of a place I can consider my humble abode. So after viewing a few places (one of which had a toilet literally in the shower...) I found the perfect place!
A little arm twisting was needed for the guy to rent to a foreigner.
There was a lot of eeeuuuuhh(s) (you know how the French say) but between Tessa, the agency lady, and I we all convinced the gaullois-smoking film producer to give me the keys.
It's right smack dab in between the Eiffel Tour and Les Invalides (Tessa says it's because I'm an invalid).
Now I'm just waiting for it all to be a scam and for someone to randomly come into the apartment while I'm taking a shower.
I'll let you know if anything of the sort comes to pass.
à bientôt.

Strep Say What?

Okay, so as beautiful as Paris is, I'm pretty much stuck inside dying of strep. Gonna go to the doctor tomorrow. Second strep in 6 month. Ridiculous.
Cameras dead right now, but I'll upload pictures in the next few days. They'd be lame now anyhow. Mostly just pictures of me glaring at the bottom of the top bunk. So instead I'll let you guys look at this scary diagram of my throat. Eeeew.

Packing

So I've given in. This is my first blog post for all of the amazing people I know who love the pursuit of experiencing other cultures, speaking languages that make you feel impassioned, and the constant need for love in this world.

Cliché enough?

Almost Done.

The only two impractical things that I packed...
